AC Community Standards
& Membership Policies
Audacious CITY
Connection. Fun. Belonging. Respect.
Audacious CITY (AC) is an adult social community designed to create welcoming, enjoyable opportunities for connection and shared experiences. These standards help protect the safety, dignity, comfort, and enjoyment of every member while preserving the individuality and autonomy of the people who make up our community.
1. The AC Community Standard
-
Membership in AC comes with both privileges and responsibilities. Members are expected to treat other members, staff, vendors, venue personnel, and community partners with respect; honor personal boundaries; follow reasonable safety instructions; and avoid conduct that substantially interferes with another person's ability to participate in or enjoy an AC experience.
-
AC recognizes that people communicate, socialize, regulate themselves, and participate in different ways. Differences in communication style, eye contact, sensory needs, processing time, social comfort, or participation are not misconduct.
2. Respect, Boundaries & Consent
Â
-
Respect another person's physical, social, romantic, and communication boundaries.
-
Unwanted touching, sexual comments or conduct, harassment, intimidation, bullying, or deliberate humiliation are not permitted.
-
If another member declines an invitation, date, physical contact, conversation, or further communication, that decision must be respected.
-
Do not repeatedly contact or pursue another member after that person has asked for the contact to stop.
-
Do not share another member's phone number, email address, social media information, photographs, or other personal information without permission.
-
Photography, video, and posting to social media must comply with AC's consent and media practices.
Connections Are Encouraged; Pressure Is Not

AC exists to help people build genuine connections. Friendships and romantic interests may naturally develop. AC is not a dating service, and no member is entitled to another member's attention, contact information, friendship, or romantic interest. A clear 'no,' request for space, or lack of consent must be respected.
3. Safety & Appropriate Conduct
-
Follow reasonable safety-related directions from AC staff and venue personnel.
-
Follow the rules of restaurants, theaters, recreation facilities, transportation providers, and other AC partners.
-
Do not engage in violence, credible threats, dangerous conduct, theft, or intentional serious property damage.
-
Weapons are prohibited at AC activities except as otherwise required by applicable law.
-
Illegal drugs are prohibited. Alcohol may only be consumed when legally permitted and specifically allowed as part of the venue or AC activity.
-
Do not deliberately damage AC property, venue property, vendor property, or another member's belongings.
4. Conduct Concerns & the Three-Strike Policy
Most significant conduct violations will be addressed through AC's Three-Strike Conduct Policy. A strike is intended for meaningful violations of community standards, not minor mistakes, personality differences, or ordinary social awkwardness.
-
Repeatedly ignoring another member's clearly expressed boundaries.
-
Bullying, insulting, mocking, deliberately excluding, harassing, or intimidating another person.
-
Inappropriate sexual comments, advances, touching, or continued romantic pursuit after a boundary has been expressed.
-
Aggressive arguing, yelling at, threatening, or intimidating a member, staff member, vendor, or venue employee.
-
Repeatedly and substantially disrupting an event after reasonable staff redirection.
-
Significant violation of venue rules after a warning or reasonable redirection.
-
Deliberately damaging property.
-
Photographing, recording, posting, or sharing another member's information after being told consent has not been given.
-
Other conduct that AC reasonably determines substantially interferes with the safety, dignity, boundaries, or participation of others.
Conduct that may result in a strike includes:
A second strike may result in termination of membership. AC will document significant conduct concerns and may communicate expectations or corrective steps to the member.
5. Immediate Suspension or Termination
-
AC is not required to use the strike process when conduct is sufficiently serious. AC may immediately remove a member from an event, suspend participation while an incident is reviewed, or terminate membership for conduct including physical violence, credible threats, serious sexual misconduct or harassment, theft, intentional serious property damage, possession or use of a prohibited weapon, or conduct creating a substantial safety risk.
-
AC retains reasonable discretion to determine the appropriate response to an incident based on its seriousness, frequency, context, impact, and safety considerations.
6. Event Registration
-
Event capacity is limited and advance registration is required unless AC states otherwise.
-
A member should register only for events the member reasonably expects to attend.
-
Registration is personal to the member and may not be transferred to another person without AC approval.
-
Members are responsible for reviewing event details, including location, start time, activity requirements, and any venue-specific instructions.
7. Event Cancellations
-
72 hours or more before the event
-
A member may cancel without penalty. The event will not count against the member's monthly event allotment and, subject to availability and applicable rollover rules, the member may select another eligible event
-

-
Less than 72 hours before the event
-
The reservation is considered a late cancellation. The event will count as one of the member's selected events and will not be returned to the member's monthly allotment. AC does not ordinarily impose an additional late-cancellation fee.
-

-
No-show
-
If a member does not attend and did not cancel at least 72 hours in advance, the event is forfeited and counts against the member's event allotment. AC may track repeated no-shows separately from behavioral strikes. Repeated no-shows may result in limits on advance registration or other reasonable registration restrictions.
-

-
Exceptional circumstances
-
AC understands that unexpected circumstances occur. AC may, in its discretion, waive a late-cancellation consequence for exceptional circumstances. A waiver in one situation does not require AC to provide a waiver in another.
-

-
If AC cancels
-
If AC cancels an event, the canceled event will not count against the member's event allotment. AC will provide an appropriate event credit, replacement opportunity, or other remedy consistent with the membership program.
-
8. Membership Cancellation & Future Event Reservations
-
A membership cancellation request is effective on the first day of the following month, subject to the future-event reservation rules below. Cancellation of membership does not automatically erase a commitment created by an event reservation occurring within 30 days of the cancellation request.
-
If, when requesting cancellation, a member is already registered for one or more AC events occurring within the next 30 days, the member remains responsible for the applicable membership fee for the month in which those event reservations occur. Canceling on August 31, for example, will not avoid the September membership charge if the member has already reserved a September event that falls within 30 days of the cancellation request.
-
If a reserved event is more than 30 days after the membership cancellation request, the future reservation may be canceled and the member will not be charged a membership fee solely because of that reservation.
-
Members should cancel future event reservations promptly when ending membership. AC may clarify or adjust the effective cancellation date when necessary to account for existing event commitments.
9. Membership Fees & Refunds
-
Membership fees are charged according to the membership plan and billing schedule in effect for the member.
-
Except where AC states otherwise or applicable law requires otherwise, membership fees are nonrefundable once the applicable membership period has begun.
-
A late cancellation or no-show does not create a right to a refund or prorated membership fee.
-
AC may revise membership pricing, benefits, or policies prospectively with reasonable notice to members.
10. Eligibility & Level of Support
-
AC is a non-clinical social membership community. Members must meet AC's current membership eligibility requirements and be able to participate safely with the level of support AC provides. AC staff do not provide clinical care, personal care, behavioral therapy, medical supervision, or one-to-one support unless AC expressly states otherwise for a particular program.
-
If a member's support needs change substantially, AC may discuss whether reasonable participation arrangements are available or whether AC's current program remains an appropriate fit.
11. Privacy, Photos & Member Information
-
Members are expected to respect one another's privacy. Personal information learned through AC should not be shared outside the community without permission. AC's own collection, use, and publication of photographs, videos, contact information, and other personal information will be governed by applicable AC consent forms and privacy practices.
12. Concerns & Reporting
-
Members are encouraged to tell AC staff promptly about behavior that makes them feel unsafe, pressured, harassed, or unable to participate comfortably. AC will review concerns as reasonably appropriate. AC cannot promise absolute confidentiality when information must be shared to address safety, investigate a concern, or comply with legal obligations.
13. AC's Right to Protect the Community
-
AC may take reasonable steps to protect members, staff, partners, and the integrity of the community. Depending on the circumstances, those steps may include redirection, a warning, a strike, removal from an event, registration restrictions, temporary suspension, conditions for continued participation, or termination of membership.
-
These policies are intended to promote a safe and respectful community and do not limit AC's ability to respond reasonably to circumstances not specifically described in this document.
14. Changes to These Policies
-
AC may update these Community Standards & Membership Policies as the community grows and operations evolve. Material changes will be communicated to members and will apply prospectively unless immediate implementation is reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, or program integrity.
